We have been on a road trip for our honeymoon in the USA and our stay with Johanna and Bounty was the best throughout the whole trip. We were greeted by bounty and immediately felt right at home as we joined bounty and Jo for some beers as the sun was setting. The cabin was idyllic and had everything we needed. But the cabin isn’t the best part. The best part is Jo, Bounty, Hector and the employee of the month aka Rooster the super dog! It was unbelievable actually. I have never met such a well natured, loyal and protective dog in all my life. He was asleep right outside our cabin both nights and was there to greet us when we came home from the rodeo. I didn’t realise how much rich history the ranch and Bounty and his parents have. You simply have to stay here if you are going to Cody, we were made to feel like family as soon as we arrived and were so sad to leave. Jo and Bounty are the best hosts and that’s what makes this such a special place. July 2016 – Scott & Hailey
Staying here with Bounty and Jo was awesome! They are so welcoming and treat you like one of the family members. The cabin was really cute, super clean, and cozy. We loved the view from the porch and of course our guard dog Rooster. Such a sweet family and we enjoyed every minute of it, we were sad to leave. Definitely would recommend this to anyone.. Johanna’s place, set in the beautiful foothills just outside of Cody, with a stunning view right from our room, was an absolute highlight of our trip. Jo and her husband Bounty were such welcoming, friendly and fun hosts, they made us feel right at home. The room was really comfortable and beautifully kept, and was just secluded enough to feel like a real getaway. Our only problem was that we could only stay one night…. June 2016 – Tom & Ali
After a long day of driving, we arrived at Johanna’s cute little cabins where we were greeted by the friendliest dog ever who guided us to a place to park. Our cabin was exactly as expected; authentically decorated, in very good condition and with a wonderful view of fields and mountains. On top of that there were a crazy amount of small wild rabbits jumping around and munching on the grass. We recommend having a cold beer on the terrace while enjoying the last bit of sunlight and spotting the wildlife in the area at night. Johanna and her family were so welcoming and helpful in giving us ideas of what to do in the area. If we had known that we had found such a gem in Cody, we would have booked some more nights! Wow. It’s hard to know where to start with this EXCEPTIONAL listing! The cabins, the comfort, the generous hosts or the stunning location! A best in class Airbnb experience for me and my friend. Johanna and Bounty go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable and have clearly put a lot of thought into the guest experience. Accommodated last minute, we arrived weary from a day’s drive and were welcomed warmly by Johanna, who met us in town to make sure we found the place. We soon felt like family. The cute cabins are outfitted with everything you need – coffee, hot showers and a cosy bed. The location is superb, enjoy amazing views across the ranch, spot some wildlife and hang out with the horses and friendly dogs. If you get a chance to meet Grandpa Doug, ask him to show you the elk bugle!!! And if you happen to see Hector, a young cowboy from Apple Jack ranch, remember he prefers to be called John Wayne 😉
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE! October 2015 – Ms B
Johanna’s cabin was perfect. The best on our cross country honeymoon trip thus far.
Charming right down to the mint green mini fridge. We loved it. The bed was sooooo comfortable. And the crisp mountain air blowing in from the open windows was delightful.
Wish we could have stayed longer. September 2015 – Shelly
GREAT STAY, great alternative to expensive Yellowstone cabins, especially for someone looking for a “western” experience. October 2015 – Amanda
Totally suggest this cozy little cabin to anyone! Jo and her family were so friendly! We were welcomed our very first day, we were also invited for coffee and had some great conversations! The atmosphere was so inviting! Everything was as promised and better. Could not have been happier with our experience. The location was great, so beautiful and just 5 minutes outside of Cozy.
Very clean, comfy, and cozy. Would definitely stay again! October 2015 – Bethany
Johanna was extremely kind and responsive! She answered all of our questions, came to greet us, and even invited us to dinner at a private ranch outside Yellowstone (unfortunately, we couldn’t attend). The ranch was private and secluded, with great views, but still only a 5 minute drive into Cody. The cabin itself was exactly as described, with a beautiful porch and outside sitting area. My wife and I would certainly stay here again. September 2015 – Shawn
Bounty and Jo made us feel welcome the moment we got to the ranch. Within minutes, Bounty was helping us bring our things into the cabin and made sure we had everything we needed. Johanna came by a few minutes later and shared information about the ranch, the cabins and services available in town. Their dog, Rooster, also made us feel welcome, greeting us whenever we came back to the ranch after a long day exploring Yellowstone. The room was exactly as described – rustic, quaint and cozy – and suited our needs for the 3 nights we stayed. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft! Waking up early in the morning to the beautiful surroundings and the soft whiney and nickers from the horses was a special treat. We will definitely consider staying there again if we’re in the area. – Yvette
Staying at Cozy Rustic cabin was a highpoint in our trip! We enjoyed ourselves so much it was hard to leave after only one night! Jo and her family are wonderful hosts, the best you can find actually! They are friendly and welcoming and we hope to come back to visit them next year. The cabin is beautifully furnished and has all the luxuries you might not expect in a rustic accommodation! A great bathroom, a very comfortable bed and all the amenities that make it really cozy! At the entrance of the cabin there is a great porch you can enjoy at any time of day – in the morning with a cup of coffee, late afternoon watching the sunset and at night looking up at the stars. The ranch has a beautiful view of the Big Horns and it’s very interesting to take a walk around. If you are passing through Cody we really recommend everyone to spend at least a night here. You will truly enjoy it!!. – Rainbow
